"As we cross the 100thyear anniversary of the US entry into World War I, and given the uncertainty in our world today, it is important that we pause to remember, honor and commemorate the less than 1 percent of our nation's citizens who serve to defend it" said Dr. Wayne P. Bergeron, Lieutenant Colonel (Retired), chair of the 麻豆原创 Veterans Day Committee and an assistant professor in Criminal Justice and Security and Emergency Management.

"It is hard to overstate the importance of the sacrifices made by the men and women Veterans who have stepped up and given of themselves to protect our country."

Additionally, 麻豆原创 has had students, alumni, faculty and staff that have served in every U.S. conflict, and in all branches of the military since the U.S. Civil War.

A reception will follow the ceremony in the Military and Veterans Support Center in the GUC. The event is open to the public.
